Choice 2 : Guide to Surface vs. Submersible Pumps
Surface pumps are pumps that are placed next to a rain water tank. Submersible pumps are pumps that are placed inside the rain water tank. For this reason, submersible pumps can be slightly quieter to operate then surface pumps.
When selecting the pump for your Rainwater Storage Solution, any pump style can be used with our tanks. However, for ease of installation and the best performance, only submersible pumps are recommended for below ground tanks, and only surface pumps should be used with bladder tanks.
